Greer Doolan holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Speech Pathology, and a Masters degree in Applied Linguistics. She has worked for many years in various areas of speech pathology, principally working with adults. While working in an inner-city hospital, Greer developed a keen interest in the special communication difficulties faced by people from non-English speaking backgrounds.
As a result of this special interest in bilingual speakers, Greer frequently assists adults who have difficulty being understood because of their spoken-English accent. Tailoring her programs to the individual’s needs, Greer helps her clients work towards their speech goals and mitigate the often negative effects that their pronunciation has had on their work or social life.
Greer is a co-founder of the Multicultural Interest Group for Speech Pathologists working in this challenging area.
Greer is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist with Speech Pathology Australia.
